Types of allergies in children

Allergies occur as a result of an abnormal allergic reaction from the immune system when foreign harmful substances enter the allergen, such as: certain foods, dust, or medicines.

And it may be a seasonal allergy or throughout the year, and there may be types of allergies that remain throughout life.

Types of allergies in children differ according to the type of allergen, and the types of allergies are explained as follows:

1. Food allergy

The effect of food allergy on the digestive system is the result of the body's reaction to a certain type of food that the child has previously eaten.

When taken for the second time, an allergic reaction occurs, as IgE antibodies react and the immune system releases a substance called histamine.

A food allergy problem is also different from a food intolerance. There is no reaction and response from the immune system in the event of food intolerance. However, symptoms may be similar.
