The phenomenon of excessive hair in women is divided into two main categories, such that this division is suspended due to excessive hair growth.

When the cause of hirsutism is a hormonal phenomenon, it is called the phenomenon of hirsutism.

But in cases where the cause of the problem is non-hormonal, the phenomenon of hirsutism is called "hypertrichosis".

Hirsutism in women with hypertrichosis is characterized by the spread of fine hair all over the body, with the possibility of it growing significantly in the hands and feet.

Ethnic and genetic origins play a big role in influencing this phenomenon, and high levels of male hormones in the blood play a similar role.

Sometimes, this phenomenon can occur in women who are being treated with drugs that stimulate the production of male sex hormones.

The phenomenon of excessive hair in women, resulting from excessive secretion of male hormones, of the type of Hirsutism, is characterized by excessive growth of facial hair, chin and neck, midline of the chest and abdomen, upper and lower back, buttocks and inner side of the thighs.

The hair is coarse and black in color, and it may be accompanied by an increase in the secretions of the sebaceous glands in the skin and acne. And since the sensitivity of hair follicles and sebaceous glands is variable, it is possible that there are cases where only acne appears, while the appearance of hair comes at a later time.
